Cutting legs on frame of a 1000 to put caster wheels on it?

Hello from Rineyville Kentucky,
I want to know if anyone has ever cut the legs on the frame of a 1000 to put casters on it? I picked the grill up from Craigslist and am flipping it to give to my daughter and son in law. Thanks Bobby

Yes I did. I think it was about 1" and made it right. My old Genesis II (now a III) did not have casters so I simply installed the casters measured how far "off" the grill was and cut the appropriate amount. Just make sure the surface you work on is level. Verify with a large bubble level first

That is exactly what I did with my 1999 Spirit 700. The bottom of both legs had some rust from sitting on the concrete for the last 17 years so if memory serves me correctly it was 1 1/2" I cut off of each leg to make it level with the add on casters. Just do as LMichaels states with a level. I cut one leg at a time and checked for level.
