A Day Late Smoke Day!

We always do our SD activities the day after. I'm usually pretty bushed out come Friday to get everything together, plus it gives people an excuse to NOT go to the race!!;)
I woke up and fired up the WSM with the MM about 7:30 Sunday morning. I also used a couple chunks of apple that member Tim K was kind enough to give me! I rubbed two 4 pound butts, one bone in, one boneless, with some rub I got at a local barbecue place in Lincolnton I have lunch at sometimes, Sweet Fire BBQ. Pretty tasty!

And onto the top grate of the WSM.

I put the cookers on the lawn because of our planned buffet set up, a folding table with the legs still folded up over the holes where the cookers usually go! Worked like a champ!!
I thought the butts looked lonely, so added a 4 pound brisket flat seasoned with this stuff. very good on beef!!

And rubbed, then onto the cooker.

And after they came off and rested! The bone in butt was already done and in the cooler.

I didn't get a shot of the spread, but we fed about 20 adults and maybe 6 kids! real estate was tight on the deck!

I did snag some pics of Pammi and some of her coworkers having fun with the kids in the yard!

Thanks for looking everyone!!!

Phil, great job on the cooks! Was that the WSM 18.5" that you squeezed all that meat on? If so, wow, great real estate (on both the cooker and the deck) management. The food looks terrific and so does the party. I am sure you received many complements for your food and it looked like a good time was had by all!
