I realize there's already a thread on this, but no definitive answer...

We had what we call a "toad-strangler" here in these parts a few night ago and, despite it all, my Kingsford got a bath.

Dry or buy?

Buy. Lump dries perfectly fine, but regular charcoal turns green and doesn't light. Sorry.

dry then try, if it looks bad then buy.

It's worked for me.

if you can lay it out on a rack or something where air can get all around each piece - you should be golden once it dries - otherwise cursh it up and throw it in the garden
