For me it's MINT!!
I have others, but I don't want mint near my food.

As a group of Foodies, what turns you off if you see a recipe that calls for (fill in the blank).

Cilantro. It tastes like dirt to me. It literally reminds me of what dirt tastes like when you get it in your mouth.

Nuts. Unless its a dessert I just really prefer not to have them in a salad or main course.

Mayo, Pickles, Condiments of any type.
Though I can use ketchup but only if mixed as in a BBQ sauce.

Calves liver, okra, and brussel sprouts. Yuk! But,I'm not a picky eater. Just don't like these particular things.

For me, I don't believe there is any individual recipe ingredient that causes an automatic pass. However, a recipe that lists Cilantro usually gets short shrift. I really, really cannot tolerate Cilantro. In some recipes though, Italian parsley can be substituted for that Cilantro garbage. It's usually difficult for me to find Italian parsley locally. I have grown my own Italian parsley as a Cilantro replacement.

Spam, avocado. cilantro and capers. sorry George

If it includes sauteed chicken livers with onions and peppers I'm all over it. (yes, I know that wasn't the question). That's how much I love sauteed chicken livers with onions and peppers.

Ditto!!!!

Even though it's on my yuck list, I'm suprised to see cilantro posted 3 times already.
I think my adult daughter could eat the stuff as a salad!

Like D.L., I won't skip over an interesting looking recipe just because of an ingredient or two.

Also, IMO, strawberries, nuts, orange slices, and raisins do not belong in a lettuce salad!

Cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup! Years ago I was 'abused' by my mother who would pour cream of mushroom over chicken pieces and serve it to the family. A shudder just ran down my spine thinking of it...

Grill up some Orange Marmalade Sriracha Spam, just to spite 'em!
Or maybe some Roadside Spam!
