taking my genesis apart to rebuild as ya'll know. course weber uses junk bolts, etc. i'm finding that the stuff is rusted badly and also becoming siezed in the aluminum housing. even using all my tricks i finally had to break the bolts off to get the thing apart. will get the broken stuff drilled out and tapped later. no biggy. so my point is is to mabe take some time and replace the hardware with stainless so ya won't have issues down the road.

I wondered - as I was doing what you are doing - "are the profit margins so thin that they couldn't spent the extra couple bucks a grill and use stainless?" It is frustrating, but it gives tweakers and rebuilders like us something to do and to talk about!
