I'm enjoying everyone else's smoke day posts - I'll hopefully do something for it next year.

Terriyaki - half sauced afterwards, the other half (on the left) were only marinated.

Some mighty fine cooks, those aren't yours?

...yes, mine :)

I had some other interesting grilling things going on this weekend too. Thursday night, I saw a ~2005 Silver A (genesis) come up on Craigslist for free- so I picked it up and delivered it to my cousin & her husband yesterday evening/afternoon...got to see their new baby & home for the first time. & then today I saw a couple of newer Genesis grills come up - $150 & $250 at a shady appliance store. I left without them but can't win 'em all.

(I kept the cover)

This deal fell through. I could've worked it better but well you know - sometimes it's just not the right situation.

(the lower cookbox was broken, the top lid about flipped all the way back) $150 -- there was an all stainless model that I was told $250 before I went & a different salesman said $450 firm - I felt like helping him do a reverse-superman so I left after telling him "you can be firm with someone else.") Not a necessity but I sure thought it'd look nice in my back yard!

From now on I'm family, especially when you're giving that away

: )

I'd set you up.

I only drove a total of maybe 20 miles from my house, to pick it up, to drop it off, traffic was so light. I laughed at myself while doing it but everything went smooth. The house I picked it up is on an unusual route, but a scenic one I've driven nearly 100 times (on the way to American Fork Canyon).

She's my little brother's age, 9 years younger than me, but her older brothers were like my brothers----I even lived with them for a while, and I was always welcome anytime (door & fridge always unlocked & open). Her husband has played guitar for >20 years---I've been working at the keyboard a little bit, trying to get better, & it was fun watching him play, seeing how it related to the kb. They even had a chubby 2 month old I was able to hold :)

I'm still trying to figure the jump from flappers to hamburger/? sammies...
It all looks very good & good grill stories.
