Cast Iron Grates on the Genesis Silver B

I scored a Genesis Silver B a few months back and upgraded the grill grates to the porcelain coated cast iron. I have been using the grates in what I think is the "normal" way (left side of the picture below) and then the other night, when I was getting ready to cook some burgers, I thought to myself "Huh. I wonder how it would cook if I flipped the grates so the wider side is up." so I did.

I really liked the result - the grill marks on the burgers were really nice and well defined and I liked the "sizzle" when the burgers went on. The meat released nicely from the grill when I flipped the burgers. I think I'll leave the grates this way.

Now, is somebody going to tell me that they were supposed to be that way all along?

Weber may have a "right" way but I think the consensous here is the right way is the way you prefer. I actually have one each way on my Silver C
