How fast is too fast? Over 500F from 70F in 4 minutes on a 2000 Genesis Gold C LP

I've been cleaning up a 2000 Genesis Gold C. I reassembled the grill today and adjusted the burners to get an even blue flame. With all 3 burners on high, I can get a grate temperature 500F, from 70F, in 4 minutes as measured by my Maverick. The lid thermo reads about 50 degress less.

Does this sound correct? I was expecting closer to 10 mins.
 
450 degrees in 4 minutes on high is about right, my Genesis 1000 gets to 550 in 8 minutes...I would say it is above 650 after 10 min. I will make a test next time I fire it up!
