Pammi Sue and I like to stop here on our way to her momma's house. We both had sliced beef plates on our last trip through. It was slathered in their very spicy sauce and served with chili beans and cole slaw. The beans were as spicy as their sauce, but the cole slaw did a good job of cooling both off!

They also sell their rub and sauce. I bought both!

McClards is excellent. I have eaten here off an on since I was a kid. They have some of the best pork ribs in Central Arkansas. I always order their ribs and fries plate... a plate full of homemade fries topped off with ribs and their BBQ sauce poured all over. Delicious!

This place is old school, cash-only, and you'll usually have to stand a few minutes before you get a table. Its worth it.

After 92 years in the McClard family, McClard's has been sold:

To be honest, maybe this is a good thing. From what I've been told, the yougest generation of McClards were not too fond of the business, and in my own experience dining there the quality was slipping a lot.
