I have always wanted to learn how to make biscuits.....this is the best recipe that I have found. It is very simple. Two cups of SELF RISING flour and one cup of heavy whipping cream.




When the dough comes together, it is a little tighter than biscuit dough that I have made in the past.



This is the first cut with a pint size Mason Jar. Cut thicker for thicker biscuits.



The recipe called for cooking on a greased cookie sheet, but I one of my old iron skillets instead. Bake at 450 F for 10-12 minutes.



This is how they turned out. They tasted great!

That looks like a good hearty meal, Boss. How did the biscuits turn out? Were they on the lighter side or heavy? They look great.
 
Thanks for a simple biscuit recipe. I've been looking for one and this one looks great for me to try. Your cook is looking good too.
 
Bam! that's even easier than the recipe I use for biscuits... Looks really tasty too.. hmmm may have to do some biscuits in the next few days here..
 
I tried making buttermilk biscuits from scratch a few years ago...

I could've donated them to a youth hockey league. :(

I'm gonna try your easy recipe. They look great!
