Baked beans ever tried this?

I was watching a show a TV a while ago and they were in a BBQ joint. They opened up an oven and showed all these ribs being cooked/smoked on the lower shelves were pans of baked beans catching all the drippings. Anyone ever tried this?
 
Yup, every time I do beans. I call em' "drip beans." Not my term, but one I heard (read) elsewhere. I only put the beans under the pork during the last few hours. That way only the good part of the drippings hit the pan.
 
Of course there great that way.... You really need to try them, Like Chad said the last few hour's of the cook is when to put them on... Mighty fine beans they make.
