Jim Beam Red Stag

I am a big fan of the Jim Beam Red Stag line - they started off with black cherry infused bourbon...now they have two more, sweet tea and spiced, which is like a hot cinnamon. I adapted this recipe from and earlier post about apple pie vodka...But since I don't like vodka, I've used bourbon. For a nice kick in the autumn when smoking out, try the following:

- 750ml bottle of Jim Beam Red Stag (black cherry, sweet tea, or spiced) - BTW, these bourbons are delicious by themselves on the rocks! You may opt to use regular old bourbon too.
- Then add apple pie spice
- Fresh honey
- cinnamon sticks
- a dash of powdered cinnamon (some opt to leave this out - but if you like it, do it!)
- fresh pressed apple cider (or store bought juice if you don't have it).

Let mixture sit for up to 1-2 months. Sometimes I do three. No need to strain but some will and its OK.

This stuff is unreal to sip over ice or served dry.
