What's the difference?

Amazon has two 18.5 WSM's: the Weber 721001
and the Weber 2820. It looks as though the former is the new model. Is this correct? If there are differences, what are they? I have $100 gift card from Amazon to go towards this baby but I want to get the right one. Thanks!

Hi Billy. The 721001 is the newer one. The 2820 is like mine an 08 model with no built in thermo,heat shield, and deeper water pan.

I'm sorry--Since my Birthday and Christmas are relatively close together and am collecting Amazon gift cards from family. I already have $100 down and hopefully by Christmas will have the $250~ to buy one. That's the place I'm going to have to buy it!

I'm surprised the older model is still for sale. Could it be old stock and is there a price difference?
