I am getting an ip address on the stoker but when I punch it into the stoker software on my computer, it still will not connect says failed to connect. When I type cmd then the stoker ip address on the computer, it says not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not the best for this but what software are you trying to connect to (Stokerweb, Amir is your best resource)? Are you connecting directly to your router via ethernet cable or wirelessly with a game router?
If you can give a step by step of how you are trying to connect we can answer better.

James,
I have been using a netgear wireless bridge and it has worked fine up until the other day. I would check the ip address on the stoker and just punch it into the stoker software wich is stokerlog version 6.7. Today I plugged the stoker directly into the router and it gave me a different ip address. I typed this ip address into the stokerlog and it still gave me the same message.

Put "http://" in front of the IP address without the quotation marks in the browser address bar and see if that connects and shows you the status of stoker. Example:

http://192.168.192.22

BTW, to avoid the IP address changing, you need to force the stoker to have a "static" address. That way, it will always be the same. Otherwise once in a while it will change and break things. I think this is documented in the sticky video thread on this forum.

Again, others here can probably respond better but my last IP issue (dynamic not static) was solved by a simple Stoker IP reset (see manual online at Rocks). I don't use a bridge so I'm not sure if that adds a variable I'm unfamilliar with.

Edit Note - My post above crossed with Amir's and I have to defer to his solution.
