Many times! How do you think I've had so many REDS?

What is the problem? I know the older sides used nuts and bolts and the newer ones have studs and use speed nuts.

older model with bolts that rotate. rusted so i might have to cut them off. i'm gonna get stainless bolts and round off the heads to fit. i assume its straight forwards to assemble later. mine is already red.

well that was fun. weber installs flat headed bolts with ribs under the head which i assume are to dig into the housing and hold the bolt while turning the nut on and off. well let me tell ya that it don't work that way. the holes are to big so nothing digs in. the bolts just spin. add to that rusted nuts, etc and ya got a problem. after a few days of soaking with pb blaster i was able to get five out of ten bolts off. the others just spun. so i took my dremel and cut slots into the bolt heads and modded a screwdriver to fit. then i hit the nuts with my heat wrench and they came off. gotta love the heat wrench. now to get stainless to fit.
