Montreal Steak Seasoning

This is close to many on the web...I wanted to consider TUMERIC which is used in Yum Yum Steak Seasoning (Mr. Taylor) but I am out of stock.

Montreal

4 T black pepper (fresh ground coarse)
2 T paprika
2 T kosher salt
2 T granulated garlic
2 T granulated onion
1 T cayenne pepper
2 cascabel peppers (seeds removed) ground
2 t coriander seeds (coarse ground)
3 T dill seeds....

Notes:
I am posting this recipe with 2 cascabel peppers, I used 3 and it was on the warm side...could be my cayenne is on the hot side too. My dill seeds do not seem to be too strong, that is why I added the third tablespoon compared to most recipes.

Steve, TUMERIC , -----(amount), in place of---, or in addition to? This sounds very good. I've been wanting to mix up some different seasoning mixes.

Brad, search Yum Yum Steak here. You'll find tumeric in it. That is a good beef seasoning.
My one fault is trying to improve something...
Tumeric might be appropriate as one add layer of flavor. Also considered were thyme, oregano, sage, rosemary...
