    For those that live in the bay area... central coast or central Cali the event will be held May 20 - 21. They have a few teams coming from Oregon and Nevada along with the Cali guys... Think some are members of this site..Should be great weather and plenty to do for both adults and children...

    Prime Rib

    Fired up the smoker tonight & used some oak slat's from a Jack Daniels wiskey barrel for the smoke wood put some shroom's with butter/olive oil & cajun seasoning in a CI pan a couple Russet tater's off to the side all in the WSM they went & a few hour's later was great supper.

    What's for Dinner.

    Tonite will be some NewYork strip's marinated in Stubb's<<< good stuff-shroom's-shrimp-corn on the cob and a nice salad for me and my dad. Yea i know no pic's it did'nt happen...But i take care of my dad & mom both have alzheimer's and takeing pic's is not my goal here ...Only great tasteing...

    Well i went out and boughta new ots..The verdict is still out on how i'll like it compared to my 30 old kettle with the daisy wheel's..But it did cook up a darn great dinner for us tonite.

    For those that have both.

    For those that both the older style 3 daisy wheel grill's and the one touch grill'. What do you prefere to use to grill & BBQ on more,As far as heat control goes. Reason i'am asking is because i'am going to buy my brother in law a new weber wensday and i never cooked on a one touch.

    lon back ribs

    I was thinking about doing some loin back's tommorow afternoon..Maybe starting at about 2:00 pm, I;ve done them both HH and low and slow in the kettle with Great result's. But tommorow i want to use the smoker, If trying for HH anything thing i should look out for during the cook? Thank's.

    Mom's 76.

    Well today was my mom's 76 B-Day so i fired up the ol kettle and cooked her a ribeye steak-corn on the cob-red potatoes with sliced red onion's s/p in chicken stock and a salad lol that never made it to the table ..i forget about it....This weekend the famliy will have a big q for her too.

    Anybody from the bayarea or central cali ever use this lump? It's one of the best if not the best i ever tried and made in san jose ca.

    Jack Daniels briquettes

    Has anyone seen these or tried them out yet? The other day i was at a local store and they had some there ..The charcoal it self as bit's of wood in it from the oak barrel's they use for wiskey ....plus there are chunk's of wood from the barrel itself so you can use it to smoke with.
