Would a coffee grinder work like the blender, or would this make the rub to fine?

Just a quick question. I 've mainly used my WSM for ribs and butts, with either hickory, apple or cherry. I now want to cook a turkey with sugar maple. Should I be concerned a porky either flavor or smell being transferred to the poultry? Any thoughts on how to overcome? Thanks a lot! Pete

I found what may very well have been the last bag of Rancher briquettes left at HD in the Cleveland area a few weeks back. It was just sitting there next to the Kingsford. When I ran it through the scanner, at the self-checkout, the had it priced at $.01. Only wish they had a couple more.

I enjoy Sam Adams and Budweiser. If I'm going to spend a bit more, it's Xingu, but I don't think it pairs as well with barbecue because it's a black beer.

Thanks for the info. David. I was able to easliy knock off about an inch of a firebrick just using a hammer and chisel. It's not the cleanest cut, but it worked pretty well.
