    Weber Charcoal Storage Box

My Dad must've bought this box in the 1970's. I've had it for some time and had to put it to use yesterday when the bottom of a bag of Kingsford gave out. It is not pretty, but it is functional and it is WEBER. It is NOT waterproof, so I need to put it under cover when not in use.

    My kind of restaurant

The Tip Top Tavern is near my son's apartment in Madison, very near the old Oscar Mayer headquarters. Why am I posting this at TVWBB? Twin 22's out back, preparing brisket for some of the entrees. We didn't stop on out last trip, but definitely will in the future. Tip Top Tavern 601...

My Smoke Day- As Seen on Twitter

Posting these here, before they disappear forever. Setting up at the JRPfeff Compound. B-24 Liberator fly-over. I also had a formation of Warbird fighters fly by. Smoke Day Evening. Our party was the next day. Burnt Ends before they go back on the WSM. Only complaint I got is that KC...

    Database of JP Recipes

Jamie, Are you familiar with the index I put together of the recipes from all of your Weber cookbooks? I put the spreadsheet together after tiring of paging through all of your books looking for recipes. We often buy meat or fish by sight, then get home and try to figure out what to do with...

    Green Stuff on Meat

Hello again Jamie, It is a welcome sign that Summer is right around the corner when your books are released each year. One of my favorite recipes from you came as a Weber Recipe of the Week, or something other than a book. Chipotle-Citrus Shrimp with Sour Cream Dipping Sauce is fantastic...

Missouri > Kansas City: BBQ Crawl LC's, SLAP's, Ricky's BBQ, Brobeck's, Jones’ BBQ

Apologies up front, I am posting this way too late for almost everyone. But on the outside chance that someone has the time, interest and resources, I'm inviting you to a Barbecue Crawl of Kansas City from April 20 to 23. The crawl has been in planning at Roadfood.com for the better part of a...

    First Show

The Grand Tour has arrived. Top Gear meets Monty Python. They got rid of some of the tedious bits and added some other stupidity. Fun show, I love it.

No 2015 cookbook, you broke my heart

Jamie, I didn't miss it did I? It always makes a great birthday present. For me. I'm glad you are back this year with a new cookbook. It looks like a great concept. Jim

End of auto lease buying option

Any car salesmen here? I recently executed my option to buy a truck I was leasing at lease end. The day of the transaction was confusing and upon reviewing the Title today, I am even more confused. The lease contract specified that I would pay the residual value, plus a $300 Purchase Option...

    Only in NC?

I've been driving past what appears to be a Used Pit Dealer for the last year. They have several rows of trailer mounted smokers arranged along the side of busy Hwy 401 just south of Raleigh. I never have gotten around to stopping, but today I noted the name of the business and checked out their...

    Steak of the Month

This wasn't very interesting in Just Conversation. I'll see what I can do here. I saw this deal at The Butcher Market earlier today on Groupon and was gong to pass it up. I've bought some excellent meat from The Butcher Market before, including some dry aged steaks. But at $100 for six steaks...

    Steak of the Month

I saw this deal at The Butcher Market earlier today on Groupon and was gong to pass it up. I've bought some excellent meat from The Butcher Market before, including some dry aged steaks. But at $100 for six steaks I didn't think I'd be getting much. Then I looked at the list and it was a...

    St. Louis Cyber Grackles

I'd like to hear what the folks in St. Louis are saying about the spying done by the supreme protectors of baseball tradition. It looks really bad to me - worse than Rose or the Black Sox. I've already convicted them (just cuz they're the Grackles), so let's move on the penalty phase of the...
