    Servo / Damper pictures

That was my thought, 1 cable to plug and unplug. I can add extensions at the servo/fan for additional length for the probes.

    Servo / Damper pictures

Ralph, I was considering do the same type of arrangement with at cat5 cable. I was considering also seeing if there were enough wires to also include the probes in the cat5 cable as well. I have to not counted yet to see if there is enough. Thinking now about it I believe the following would be...

    Servo / Damper pictures

Since Bryan upgraded v9 to include more servo control functions (Thanks Bryan!!) I was hoping people would post pictures in this thread of how they are implementing a servo into their setup. I did a search for servo & damper but only found a few pictures of how they implemented the servo (see...

Bryan, I'm striving to get a constant temp like that. Do you think its possible with a WSM? If I recall correctly your using a BGE?

Did another smoke today, figured I would kind of follow Harry Soo's ribs running at 275 I made an airburner as inspired by Ralph, a little different. I attached it to the underside of the coal grate and drilled the air holes in the sides and bottom. The coals burned much more evenly then with...

    Lid Open switch?

I was wondering what would be involved to have a momentary contact switch mounted by the smoker to toggle the Lid Open/Closed function? I built a table for the kettle & smoker. I'm considering locating the LCD on a waterproof panel behind and above the smoker with a push button switch next to...

    WSM 22.5 table

Thanks, Peter. I was given a suggestion which I like... put drawer sliders on the deck raising up the smoker a little but still with clearance to be able to slide the smoker out from under the table. I'm considering that, or maybe wheels on the smoker if I can get low profile wheels that will...

    WSM 22.5 table

I've been looking to build a table to hold both the One Touch Gold 22.5 & the Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5 Driving around last week with the family I saw a large flat piece of maple and some other stuff on the side of the road with a free sign. I said to the wife I could use the big piece of wood...

Please forgive me...I'm a bit "dulled" by hops....

Silver to gold... One Touch Gold (OTG) has a basket underneath that when you slide the vent handle back an forth the ash falls into the basket. The silver just has a catch pan. The benefit of the OTG is if the wind blows the ash stays contained. Also just remove the basket and dump it. I'm not...

First smoke with HM4, results and questions

Did not have to refuel, just had to stoke the coals a few times. It seems that it burns ok by the blower vent but does not get the coals going further away as it burns. I believe the air is entering and then going up and not getting to the fire. CO2 is heavier and I think it's sitting there...

    WSM table clearance?

Found the following reference while searching for characteristics of wood & heat exposure If you're interested here is the article Reactions to temperature exposure Temperature (Celsius) Wood slowly chars* 120°-150° * wood chars at a rate of approximately 30-50 mm/hour Decayed wood ignites...

    WSM table clearance?

I'm in the process of laying out a table for my WSM 22.5 & OTG 22.5 to be dropped into opposite ends of a table. I would like to know what people have determined to be a safe clearance when cutting the round hole for the WSM & OTG to fit into. I'm building the top out of maple. I want enough...

Ralph, Thanks, I'm going to make an airburner myself. I just need think about how to get the air in. I don't want to really drill a hole in the bottom. But the air vents on the WSM are above the coal grate. I may cut away some of the coal grate to allow the pipe to go below. I'll post pictures...
