Looks great and that's awesome Weber replaced the cracked crossover for free. You won't regret spending less money than buying new once you get to using it.

Bob, I'm not sure if your asking for a different material other than wood or unhappy with the condition of the wood you currently have. There have been quite a few rehabs posted with photos on the forum that have replaced the wood slats with different types of wood that were stained or varnished...

Thanks you guys. I have to admit I admired it for sometime afterward. I competed the restore Saturday evening a week ago. I've cooked on it twice since. Amazing how much better it ignites, heats and how quickly it gets up in temperature compared to what I was experiencing with the old burners...
