    New here, resto-modding Genesis 1000

Regular high heat is a flat black, Ultra is Semi-gloss. Most use the regular high heat on the cook box and the Ultra on the end caps, frame and other grill parts.

Restoration Projects. 1992 Genesis 1 and Late '80's Genesis 2

Well, I don't know about a 22 hr cook, but I have done both pork and beef roasts on the roto.

I was alluding to using the roto on that pork roast. It would solve the varied temp zones problem.

I can see that dangling from my Genesis. It would match the SS frame.

Gerry, did you consider a rotisserie for that bad boy?

22hr cook for a pork shoulder? Wow. I did not know they could take that long.

    Roadside find - Genesis E320 -2009 sidewinder

Yep sure. I don't even think you can really hang an LP tank inside the grill on a US model without the hole in the floor.

    Roadside find - Genesis E320 -2009 sidewinder

Yep, the USA Genesis E3xx LP Grills all have their tank scales on the inside of the cabinet.

Yah, I think they want you to think it is a JD manufactured grill but it is just a rebrand at best. It probably would be prudent to advertise the grills a "made by Weber".

Yah, there was a used one for sale near me earlier this summer. But really, other than the color and the cheesy name sticker on the handle, it is just a plain Q grill.

    Is this a confessional?

When I was a kid (60's), my neighbor, an older guy, had a coal burner. I remember watching him and he would open up a half gallon milk carton and fill it 3/4 full with water. Then he would scoop out the charcoal after his cooks and drop them in there. Then take them out and store them to dry...

Find the same style scale off an older Silver B. That would face the correct direction....right?

It looks like only a few general parts for the JD grills. I would not grab one with hopes of rehabbing it and making a profit.

Nope, never heard of it. If they were popular, up in this area is the place to find them though. It looks like something that was probably made back in the 60's and 70's. I am kind of surprised that the grill is not painted green.
