    Burnt end question

    I made burnt ends for the first time this week. My question is concerning the point. Is it easier to trim the point off before you cook and do separately or after the brisket is done and just throw it back on for a few hours? I found it to be messier trying to trim the point off the flat while hot.

    Rusty Grates

    Ok, my grates are extremely rusty and pitted. Thought about using a wire wheel with an electric drill to remove the severe areas.WIll it harm the grates? I can't tell if they are cast iron or not. Any Ideas???

    Freezer Burned Meat(followup)

    Well, I did the freezer burned brisket this weekend. It turned out great. Plenty of juices and the taste was great. I don't recommend keeping meat in the freezer for a year and a half. Need to have a better turn over of my freezer contents
