Fire Starters - what are you using?

My Weber Performer Deluxe with the gas assist is the major "game changer" in regards to the other Weber Performers. Too bad they discontinued it on the $1,000 Weber Summit Charcoal Grill:(

Shane: Still happy with your Weber Traveler as they have not arrived as yet here in Costa Rica? One of our Costa Rican Weber Authorized Dealerships informed me they should be arriving here in August 2021.

Fire Starters - what are you using?

When lighting a full large chimney I place one rolled piece of newspaper around the chimney bottom; light one weber cube and place the chimney at an angle for the Weber cube to light the rolled newspaper and then lower the chimney which fully lights in around 20 minutes. For me using one piece...

The Elevated Grate makes for a "Santa Maria" style cook in which the potatoes, corn and even the chicken can be grilled directly over the lit charcoal.

    Another Costa Rican Lunch

Costa Rican Cilantro, onions and Ajo mixed-up with some Extra-Virgin oil from Italy which I guess is similar to the Argentina style of Grilling. Also, the BBQ'er(me) holds dual citizenship from Costa Rica and the good old USA and my Assistant BBQ'er(my Costa Rican Wife) who pre-prepares the BBQ...

    Another Costa Rican Lunch

Costa Rican "piggies" and "Pollo". Also, the Weber Performer Deluxe shown in the Photo was bought here in "Ticoland" with Costa Rican Colones so I consider it a "Costa Rican Weber".;) I retired here in Costa Rica in the year 2000 in which still provides me with a comfortable retirement doing...

    I need a kettle, would you suggest 22” Master-Touch or 26”?

I also agree but my problem is not having adequate space to park this "Big-Mother" along-side my Weber Performer Deluxe, WSM 18" Classic and Weber Smoky Joe.

    Weber Kettle 26"

Guys: Thanx for your replies and the Costa Rican Authorized Dealership says I can have it now for $525 assembled and delivered, so, decisions, decisions??? May wait to look at that Weber Traveler Gasser which should arrive in Costa Rica in around 2 months to accompany my Weber Performer...

    Weber Kettle 26"

This Kettle has a purchase price of $550.00 here in Costa Rica. Question, is the Cooking Grate made of Stainless Steel and do they include the Charcoal Baskets?

My new performer and a question.

IMO that "Burping" sound is the flame shooting-out from the flame tube down below which is normal on my Weber Performer Deluxe.

E-435 Griddle insert vs stand alone griddle?

I use them on my Weber Performer Deluxe(WPD) and Weber Smoky Joe which protects the meat from flare-ups. For example, I cook my chicken pieces directly on the Grill Grates which are on the WPD Grill Grate which is directly over the lit charcoal; thus, no need for grilling on the Indirect Side...

E-435 Griddle insert vs stand alone griddle?

I too like Joe's A's recommendation of putting some Grill Grates from "GrillGrates.Com" on top of your grates.
