Who will admit to liking steak sauce?

I used to like Lee and Perrins steak sauce that they discontinued. Trader Joes has one that is quite similar. It is more fruity than the vinegar based A1 types.

Do you know where that Stainless Steel Sear plate comes from? I guess these are not such "unicorns" as they keep popping up.

Propane to NG conversion (not a Weber)

Wasn't too bad as I made some money on it as I got it used for a price I could not pass up. But now I wish I had it so we could trade parts and I would have had a really nice grill with that rotisserie and sear burner.

Propane to NG conversion (not a Weber)

Napoleon is just like Weber. They do NOT want you to convert and make it quite difficult. You would need the new manifold and 2 new orifices for the the Roti and side burner. I almost did one and decided on selling it instead.

Wow! Super job! What is that griddle? And like Bruce asked, is that a new cook box? If not what did you do to it?

    I am restoring this Genesis 5 ....

I received and cut the new grates today. I have the piece I cut in case the smoker box is not used. I really like being able to lift smoker box out without removing 10 bars. That was a good mod. These are the grates and they seem quite nice...

    Dave's Smokefire EX6 Experiences

If you need evidence of how much smoke a SmokeFire puts out. This is from my wall after 1 cook. Keep it away from walls you don't want to repaint or clean.

New owner - very used 18.5 WSM

If you wanted to use this bowl I would grind it and patch it using the HH epoxy putty and a piece of sheet metal large enough to cover. It is below the coal great and only ashes will hit and like you said you need to control air flow. The painted Ring if in good shape maybe take a blow torch...

New owner - very used 18.5 WSM

Post pics of the charcoal bowl. How bad is it? I have used hi-temp JB Weld epoxy putty with hi heat paint, I have also used furnace cement that worked quite well.

Gen 1, GENESIS 1000, Weber 1100 - Front Panels if anyone needs one?

Do the model# and or serial# mean anything on this generation or do you go by looks, experience, and catalogues?

Gen 1, GENESIS 1000, Weber 1100 - Front Panels if anyone needs one?

I just picked up something similar and need help identifying what it is and maybe what year. The sticker is posted. I did a google search but no help. Here are the pics. Thanks The frame is in really bad shape and no bottom shelf. Since the firebox and internals are in good shape. I am...

Which is the better grill? Silver B or 1000

Fun video. I can't believe they didn't wait till it stopped raining to do the video. How many people are going to be out in the rain giving their grill a deep clean, then BBQ with a cocktail? I definitely would have taken off the burners and hosed the whole thing down to remove the grill...

    Dave's Smokefire EX6 Experiences

Probably not, but a WSM, definitely a YES. I have a corned beef on my WSM18 right now. I got a super deal on a temp controller for it and I am thinking who needs it. It keeps 225 way better than the SF did by lid temp and probe. I need to adapt the temp controller to my performer to keep 375...

    I am restoring this Genesis 5 ....

Mark wrote me back about his Gen 5000 restore: This grill will NEVER see the light of day (in personal collection in my living room) so that's why I choose indoor paint. It by far is the most viewed grill in my collection. My wife already said that aint happening.

    SS Grate for 22" kettle

The Amazon grate is 201 SS. I looked it up. Type 201 Type 201 stainless steel is unique as it was created in response to soaring nickel prices. This means that it is cheaper, but it also has much lower nickel content. Without as much nickel, it is not as effective at preventing corrosion. The...

    SS Grate for 22" kettle

I think $54 is not too bad for hopefully the last grate you will need.
