Haven't been here for a while but I need to replenish the BBQ t-shirt collection. Is there a WSM smoke day this year?

How long until this premium Weber kettle comes to America?

Stainless grate is good. My plated ones end up rusting. Diffuser is OK I've had a couple of good cooks so far but definitely needs a drip pan of water to absorb the direct heat. I have overloaded the char ring and ignored the Weber recommendation. If I do as they say I think it will reduce hot...

How long until this premium Weber kettle comes to America?

For those who might be interested in knowing more about this Master-Touch Premium model I've written a guest review on http://www.love2bbq.co.uk/2019/04/15...premium-e5775/ Interesting having the smoke setting and the diffuser. I've done a couple of successful long low and slow with the...

    New Kettle Owner

I would run a chimney of lit coals with lid on to burn off any manufacturing residue - the fuel grate comes with oil on it to stop it rusting in the box. I don't think a kettle needs seasoning like a WSM might.

    Weber Obsession?

I use wood wool lighters these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Feniks-Firelighters-Fireplace-Barbecues-Campfires/dp/B019H693FA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1552229159&sr=8-4&keywords=wood+wool+firelighters although I do like the tumble dryer lint idea. I also have the Weber virus - 3 kettles and a WSM...

New Weber Master Touch for 2019

Thanks for the link. Useful to see it running. I haven't been on TVWBB for a while and came back to see if there were any reviews on the new Master Touch Premium. Looks like it is only available in Europe. Lucky me. I have some vouchers as birthdays gifts from last year and was hoping to get...

BBQ Gaskets Kettle kit - worth it?

I use a CyberQ and I find it better to stop the leaks to enable the ATC to do its job.

    Recent cooks again

Been a while but here are some recent cooks of mine. Got myself a "Vortex" and what a simple but great bit of kit. Overcooked due to an exciting football (aka soccer) final Got my butcher to debone a whole chicken than stuff it with meat from a couple of his Italian sausages. Then had to...

Recent cooks part 2/2 Butterflied leg of lamb

Earlier stage of the spuds and shallots cook. To add to my BBQ/grilling obsession I need shallots almost every time. Prefer them over onions. Black dal was a cheat really. 1 minute in the microwave but you can pimp it up...

Short ribs, smoked then braised on stout

Beef short ribs from local butcher (Ginger Pig) Trimmed and rubbed with Plowboys Bovine Gold. Found it to be very peppery. I am starting to get to grips with the CyberQ and learnt to use 2/3rds of a chimney of well lit briqs to start. These Aussie Heat Bead are very dense and take quite a...

Recent cooks part 2/2 Butterflied leg of lamb

Butterflied leg of lamb in rosemary and garlic marinade. Bought this ready prepared by the local butcher. Diced spuds with shallots (I am addicted to shallots) in the Lodge pan (I love CI pans and need more!) and grilled the lamb direct. Other side was a ready made black lentil dal...
