    Lump Convert

I can only get Royal Oak lump here in San Diego at walmart. Only place i've seen it. I want to convert, I really do, but the last time I tried lump I had July 4th in my chimney. It was crazy. And if I added fuel it would spark again. Never tried it again.

    Tweaking the Burners

Ok, in the summer I got a EP-320. First ever burn off, I hit 600F. That's about average. Ever since then though, I haven't been able to. 550F max. After 15 mins or so. I understand once the grill is seasoned the temps won't run as hot. But i Get a nagging feeling I haven't messed with...

do you turn off the gas at the tank when not using your gasser?

I did a post heat up for the first time ever. Dumb. Came back to cook and my brand new tank was empty. Now for sure I'm going to turn off the tank, then the knobs. For sure!

    new gasser+ 26

I have SS bars (EP-320 Copper) and I want the PCI grates personally. I know about the maintenance etc., but $50 over several years doesn't bother me. The SS are decent but they lose heat fast IMO. Cast Iron is hot and stays hot, With my style of cooking I find I would like the PCI better...

Is that offered by weber or aftermarket? Looks pretty cool. I can't wait for the 26.5" kettles to come out. So I then I can look on craigslist for, "Brand New 26.5" Kettle Weber BBQ. used twice. Going to gas. Used only 3 times. $150"

1965 Red Weber Kettle "Ranger"...you gotta see this!

Yeah, I'd probably keep it. Even though it'd be cool in a weber museum, it's cool in your museum too. Clean it up, don't use it, preserve it. That's a unique piece. Still ticked that the cool colors don't come here in the kettles. My sister or maybe even myself is travelling to Europe...

1965 Red Weber Kettle "Ranger"...you gotta see this!

I'd buy a used kettle, make sure this ranger was rust free, then shrink wrap it That thing is way too cool.

    Older looking Yellow Kettle

any idea on the approximate age of the yellow one? Any tips on how to refurb it and clean it up? Does anyone think it's a custom from 1969? It doesn't have all those stickers though: http://weber.mediaroom.com/file.php/407/50th+Anniversar...r_Timeline+Final.pdf

    Older looking Yellow Kettle

Look at this bad boy. Only $18 to boot. Is that rust on the edges though? I am not a good refurber for sure but a nice start to a vintag weber collection? Well I have an old Master Touch that might qualify as well. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/hsh/818079784.html EDIT: Oh, and...

    Southern Sweetened Tea

In California I don't think anyone asks for just "tea" so there is no question I can think of. It's normally, Raspberry iced tea the customer asks lol. If we just say "tea" it comes out unsweetened. Almost always.
