    First ATC

Andy, I swear by the DigiQ DX for my 22.5 WSM - had it for a few years now, couldn't be happier with it...here's the link to the BBQ Guru website that lists and describes the various models in their line of ATC devices. Regards, Rooster

    BBQ mat recommendations

FWIW, what Dwain suggested - I've had mine for several years, and it has held up well - price is reasonable as well. Regards, Rooster

? for Jim Lampe and Bob Correll (and other pork masters!)

Bob, thanks for that link - and yer victuals look tasty as well - looks like it may be time for me to defrost a butt and give my virtually-non-existent-as-of-this-writing butchering skills a whirl... Regards, Rooster

? for Jim Lampe and Bob Correll (and other pork masters!)

I'm definitely going to try his recipes, but now that I think about it, the show I was watching showed how to de-bone a pork butt and "re-bundle" (if that's even a word) it before slicing it; I guess I'll try YouTube to find a clip on how to do that - I've never been able to find a boneless...

? for Jim Lampe and Bob Correll (and other pork masters!)

If I'm not mistaken, I first heard about pork steaks from a Bobby Flay cooking episode - this recipe, including recipes for all the sides, looks mighty tasty.... Regards, Rooster

    ANOTHER Pork Loin Question

Bobby, thanks for that link - I believe I have a bottle of Mojo Criollo in the pantry somewhere, I may give it a shot (pun intended) with my next loin purchase. Regards, Rooster

    Guru adapter fit

What a dummy I am. Andrew, don't sell yerself short - I've found that, many times, the simplest resolution to a problem is the hardest one to recognize - anyway, I'm glad to hear you've solved your problem.... Regards, Rooster

    Worthless grilling gadgets

OK, I used to think that steaming grill brush thingamabob sold on various websites was the biggest rip off I've seen until I looked at the Steve Raichlen stainless steel grill ring (with SPIKE!!!) - truthfully now, has anybody ever grilled a whole, stinking head of cabbage? REALLY? Regards...

Great deal on that performer, even better job on the gospel bird - skin to die for..... Regards, Rooster

    ANOTHER Pork Loin Question

Had intended to post this on Cory's "Pork Loin suggestions?" thread, but thought better of it, lest I be guilty of hijacking his thread: so, has anyone ever tried injecting a pork loin, and if so, with what, and how satisfied were you with the results? I've given the idea of injecting one some...

    Guru adapter fit

Actually, Andrew, if you're not able to find a suitable resolution, perhaps there's some sort of heat-resistant putty - or other material - available on the market that would permit your sealing up the space between the inside wall and the deflector, in order to impede airflow loss; it seems to...

    Guru adapter fit

I'd suggest then, Andrew, contacting Guru tech support (if you've not done so already) and soliciting their advice - could be you've got a misshaped deflector - a stripped tightening screw - or it's something else entirely different. But based on MY experience installing a DigiQ DX adapter on my...

    Guru adapter fit

Andrew, I believe you purchased a CyberQ Wifi; apparently, you're not the first person experiencing a problem with the installation of the adapter, as evidenced by this post on SmokingMeatForums.com. If I understood the commenter correctly, he wound up mounting the adapter on one of the two...

    digi q/fan - wind question

Actually, Mike, the top vent is cracked open - in my case, it's about 1/8-inch - to act as an exhaust. I use my WSM w/DigiQ DX on an attached, screened-in back porch, and am surrounded by a privacy fence and houses on all sides; consequently, I don't know if that qualifies as being subject to...

Wingettes On The 26 3/4" OTG

Dem wings look mighty tasty, Bob - coincidentally, I have 24 wing sections in my freezer waiting their turn on the grill. I just may try your technique on my 26 and 3/4 as well. Regards, Rooster

DIGIQ DXII-Just pulled the trigger for my 22" WSM and 26.75" otg. Now what sz hole??

Tony, why drill a separate hole in your WSM? Unless there's a size difference between your DXII adapter and my DX adapter (I use it on my 22.5 WSM exclusively), there's no need to drill a hole. Just open one of the vents, mount the adapter, and plug the three remaining opened vent holes with one...

Temperature Control On A Weber Kettle Grill

Kevin, please explain what method you use to achieve and maintain target temps on a Weber kettle grill. For some reason, I have a rather difficult (OK, make that practically impossible) time being able to perform this task, on a consistent basis, without having to constantly "mind the fire", so...
