Keep it, fun and unique piece of Weber history to cook on!

    Lame skirt steak

I love this cut! Don't feel bad, a few days ago I assembled 4 pizzas which I photographed before hitting the grill. My intention was to get a shot of the finished pies and then post here but I got distracted and folks started cutting while I was still cooking. So all I have is the raw shot!

    Refrigerator help

Painful reading this thread, sorry you or anyone has to go through this. They're made more energy efficient and with more whistles and bells but wind up at the scrapyard in 5 years. We have to remodel our kitchen, no more putting it off (been for 20 years), so I'm in the market for a new fridge...

Yes, great paint, I used that on my Q and it's holding up perfectly.

How does one remove the old black paint on the firebox and endcaps

I used a grinder with a wire brush instead of a grinding wheel. Very aggressive, and will hurt you if not wearing gloves and eye protection.

    Ahi poke and sashimi

That fillet was a few hours out of the water. I was off the coast of the big island. It was roughly 60lbs. The photo below is me and my wife.

    Ahi poke and sashimi

I do raw once in a while, not often at all. That looks good! Here's a photo of one I caught a few weeks ago.

Perfect timing, new to me Q300!

I purchased my 2200 used around 2010 or so and still going strong. Those Qs are tough grills. You'll have that 300 for a long time. Congrats !

New from ThermoWorks: RFX wireless meat probe thermometer

Great company! My go-to company for this kind of stuff. I won't get into it, but let's just say they have treated me with an excellent level of customer service that is rare.

    Yet another Genesis rehab thread!

In the silver it kind of looks like an older Summit. Like you suggested LMichaels (last year) , I ripped out that silly sheild that had rusted out. That's how the whole thing started in the first place. I would have left it alone otherwise, it worked fine, it just looks better now. Plus the left...

    Yet another Genesis rehab thread!

This one is our Gold C we purchased in 2004 from Modern Propane here in Lodi NJ (little plug for the local guy that goes the extra mile for their customers). Photos show engine paint, don't use that stuff, use caliper paint or better yet find the 2200 degree stuff (Walmart -under $10). That...

    Lost my impact driver

A few minutes after bringing the new replacement home you'll find it! If you aren't committed to the batteries you currently own, I suggest the Hercules line at Harbor Freight. I have a large collection of DeWALT Atomic 20V tools (saws, fans, impact, drills, spot light, stretch-long car work...

    Cart idea for small grills

Thank you, the sides are as strong as the sides on a Genesis grill. Yeah, I went and bought an entire pallet of Rancher when it was available (I can't even remember when that was. A long time ago!)

    Cart idea for small grills

Costco had these on sale about a year ago for under $70, so I picked up a couple of them. On one of the carts I cut the top shelf in half to create the two "tables" on each end. I had some scrap flooring oak pieces and decided to use some of it for a better look, but it's cosmetic only. They...

    GF New Zealand Prime Rib

3 very small pieces of apple. That roast was very lean, I'm glad I finally tried one after passing it by so many times. But, will not be getting another one. There's a business Costco here by me in Hackensack and they carry a lot of Halal grass fed beef. All the other cuts have been great. This...

    GF New Zealand Prime Rib

Turned out real good. Took 3 hours to hit 130 F. Not a lot of fat but tasted mild. Glad I didn't go nuts on the wood chucks. Mild smoke taste works well for this one.
