There's a glut of A5 Wagyu in Japan

FT article: https://www.ft.com/content/bb540839-2f63-43bc-897c-b73b2d9f6dc7 Well that link didn't work as planned. Here's a quote: "Cancelled business dinners, postponed dates, empty ryokan inns and the sudden absence of gourmet tourists from around the world has given Japan’s government a...

    MLB Opening Day 2020. Not.

Today was to be the Cardinal's home opener. Brooke's not the only one bummed that it's not happening.

    Coronavirus - Covid 19

Missouri has jumped from its first known case, about a month ago, to 1,582 with 22 deaths. Three local grocery store workers have tested positive, 2 at one store. It gets a little scary when your food handlers start getting the virus.

Thanks! Maull's wasn't off the shelves for very long, this one had my wife's favorite, Bandana's sweet and smokey.

    Pork Steak for Two

Thanks Lynn! This one was skinny, so I flipped it several times over pretty high heat, then off the heat with sauce for a bit, then over the heat being careful to not let the sauce burn. Pork Steak for Two

Day 3,692 of self isolation, or at least it seems that way. I, and you, enjoy outdoor cooking and feel sorry for those who don't. Sided with green beans and oven made crash hot potatoes, not shown. Hang in there folks, we'll all get through this together.

Chimney dog, and hot & fast chicken.

Not much to see here. After several gloomy, rainy days in the 40's we hit 80 yesterday. Hot dog for lunch, half a chicken on the 14" for dinner.

I hung a world map on the wall, gave my wife a dart and said: "throw this, and wherever it lands, I'm taking you there for a holiday when this pandemic is over". Looks like we'll be spending two weeks behind the fridge.

    Coronavirus - Covid 19

I know many of us are not Walmart fans, but our first grocery pick up was great, even though some items were out of stock Sugar choices were slim, so I had two 1 lb. boxes of C&H sugar in the cart at $1 each, these were replaced by two 4 lb. bags, but I was only charged $1 for each. Another item...

    How about some good news?

I've heard of this thing called sun, we haven't had one for days. Plenty of liquid sunshine though. Costco gas is now $1.59 at all 3 local stores.

    Coronavirus - Covid 19

I wrap most stuff in plastic wrap before vac sealing to try to keep the juices from being sucked out. Plus, it's another layer of protection.
