Low flame level q200

Hi

Freebie q200 has cleaned up nicely and lights OK but the flame level is too low, even blows out with a bit of wind.

The gas pressure is fine (gauge and use the same bottle with a q100).

So where do I start? What could cause the low flame level?

Jk

Again all usual suspects. Dirty burner, clogged spider guard, and finally what many Q200's are afflicted with a bad regulator. GOod news is the regulator/valve assembly is not expensive

I agree with Larry. Start with the burners. Clean those holes out. If not, then go on to the next possibilty

If you are using a hose to connect your propane tank to the Q, there is a check valve in the hose that can cause this symptom. To reset the check valve, close gas valve on propane tank and open gas valve on Q for a minute. Then, close gas valve on Q, SLOWLY open valve on tank, and let it sit like that for 5 minutes to equalize gas pressures. After waiting a full five minutes, open grill gas valve and light.
