Cajun Bandit 22.5" door help

I think every WSM is unique. Mine leaks a little at the top even with the gasket. I've been bending the edges in a little bit at a time, I'll just keep working the metal til I get it just right!

    Wheels 4 WSM 22

I just recently put wheels on my WSM a few months ago! My buddy gave me these off of his WSM because he found some wheels on Amazon that prevented the wheels from rolling & turning in the locked position. [/IMG]

    Smoke Ring

Hey Mac LA - I have not taken Harry's class but I certainly would love to. I'm pretty diligent about reading his blogs and he's very specific on how to cook using WSM; technique, flavor profiles, crust development, etc. He certainly doesn't share all of his secrets but my scores have improved...

    Competition BBQ Box

Thanks for the positive feedback and I'm hoping to give it another spin in June!

    Smoke Ring

I think there's something to be said with the meat being wet. Consider using a "slurry" to your brisket before applying your rub. Harry Soo uses 4 Tblspn of Beef Paste Concentrate with 4 Tblspn of Worcestershire sauce. It is possible to get a ring with injection. Here's an example of I a cook I...

    Competition BBQ Box

Oh man! I couldn’t wait any longer to give everyone an update on my Competition BBQ Box! In October of 2015 I posted this thread looking for input for a functional shelf or kitchen for BBQ competitions. Thanks to my fellow TVWBB gurus: Len Dennis, Terry Mo, and timothy, they were able to provide...

    Complete & Total Fail

Sorry about the poor performance man! Honestly, donut/minion method works best for me, not sure I'd do snake unless I had ceramic/kamado style cooker. Looks like you cooked spares which takes about 5.25-6 hours for me at 230 F. If I were doing 3 slabs I'd fill my WSM 22 1/2 full with charcoal...

Do you remove hard plastic clip holding legs together?

Ya, I was wondering the same thing, and shared the same concerns - plastic melts! I was going to tie the legs together with string before throwing my bird on! Good luck everyone! Cheers!

Competition Shelf - Kitchen Accessories Project Input

Timothy - luan plywood, never heard of it! I'll definitely look into it. Good call, I'm still playing with the idea of my shelf system bolting directing into my table. Cheers Jeremy

Competition Shelf - Kitchen Accessories Project Input

Awesome, I'll peek around and see what I can find, another side note, I was able to find square shaped pvc pipe but it was very expensive! Thanks for your input!! Also, I visited Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC last week, man...that was some pretty good BBQ out there, and that's saying a lot...

Competition Shelf - Kitchen Accessories Project Input

Hey Timothy, It appears I made a mistake in the diagram, the two shelves should be 1/2 in thick vs the 1 presented in the diagram. It's simply an open box design, peg board will likely go towards the back of one of the boxes, and perhaps a shelf or two will go in the other box. These materials...

Competition Shelf - Kitchen Accessories Project Input

Hey thanks Len, ya, that's the same way I feel too. I did google some plastic pvc that are square shaped but they were more costly. Thanks again for your time!

Competition Shelf - Kitchen Accessories Project Input

Since it's been a few weeks and I didn't get any feedback I assume a few things.......1.) perhaps I didn't put this thread in the right location and it didn't reach the eyes I was hoping to get on this or 2.) Perhaps what I've presented seems okay to most. Either way, thanks for looking and...
