There is nothing wrong with lurking. As Chris pointed out the majority are lurkers. Myself I just like to read and learn. Anything that I can personally add is already added by one of the regular posters. Lurkers still learn.
A few days ago I bought a Weber genesis platinum that is natural gas. A call today to Weber CS said they don't sell the conversion kits anymore. Anybody have any suggestions what I should do? Its a nice gas grill the previous owners said they bought it about 4 years ago.

When I am using kinsford and am having trouble getting temps up to 350 I prop the access door open. I flip it upside down and prop it open a tad with a metal bar. I think I read that tip here some where, it works great.
My Kroger had those marked down in the fall. They had a coupon inside the bucket for either 50 cents or a doller off. I have left three out all weather and the charcoal inside is still dry. I think I ended up paying $2 a bucket. I wound up with the 10 they had left.
My wife has been wanting me to smoke Brisket since I got my WSM in January. In a recent shopping trip two days ago she unknowningly bought tenderized meat.
Its a small point cut corned beef brisket 3.90 lbs.
The meat has been tenderized with Papain.
My question is, What is suggested as a rub...
