Tamale Pot Question??

Has anyone tried to make a "stacker" with 2 Tamale pots? I haven't seen any, but thought I'd ask.

Will they fit into each other? If you cut the bottom off one will it fit the top of the other?

Just curious, I've got a couple 15 gallon drums and toyed with the idea of a "tall boy Smoker Joe" or a cleaner looking rotisserie ring for the SJ.

Anyone?
 
If they are both the same diameter, you might have to use a Crimper to get the top to stack on the bottom, or just use a pair of snips to do a series of relief cuts and fold the bottom edge in.
You always have some good ideas/mods Brian so keep us posted.

Hey Brian,
I opened up a couple of the Vasconia pots tonight to see if they would nest.
It doesn't look like it.
The indentation around the lower circumference of the pot doesn't have enough of a "vertical" element to lend any stability to stacked pots if you were to cut the bottom off there.

Like I said, curiosity was getting to me. I had seen a tamale pot that had a smaller diameter bottom that raised the steamer insert, it looked like it would fit. It wasn't the IMUSA so I was just thinking out loud.
