For your brisket or pork:

6 granny smith apples, peeled and cored
3 T. dark molasses brown sugar
3 T. meyer lemon juice
1/2 t. Vietnamese Fancy cinnamon

In a saucepan, add a little water to apple slices and simmer until cooked. Mash with a potato masher and add remaining ingredients.
