The Great Lakes Barbecue Association is holding it's 4th annual Winter Thaw & Practice Cook-Off, Friday and Saturday April 29th & 30th in Eagle, MI (near Lansing)
This annual event is geared for competition teams and those who think they might want to experience a competition cook, to come out and practice and and shake off the dust from a long cold winter.
This year Lockhart's BBQ in Royal Oak, MI has donated $1,000 in prize money. This cook is non-sanctioned event, however, it is run just like a KCBS competition as well as judging. Pot luck dinner supplied on Friday night.
