What do you add to the No. 5 sauce to make it your own?

I usually up the ketchup a bit, add some apple juice and a little Red Hot.

A summary of things I've tried:
brown bacon in the pan or 'foil juice' (whats left after resting in foil and apple juice)
saute a slice of onion
or garlic clove
add fruit: dried cranberries or my favorite
dried cherries
dried jalapeno
perhaps the best addition: fresh squeezed lemon
juice just as you pull the sauce off the heat

Besides meat....

I also have been known to throw some chipotles and adobo sauce in. Next time I'm thinking chipotles and raspberry preserves.

Last batch i grilled an onion(in half) and some red bell. Put it in a blender with the #5 right of the stove. Great flavour. I do cut back on the vinegar.

Steve, I add pineapple orange juice to my no.5 sauce along with some allspice and ground cloves . Use it over pulled pork.

Paul, that sounds good.
I just had a thought after reading about portobellos...why not a few portobellos in No.5 for a beef brisket?

I add a little honey and use it in the BRITU recipe. If you add a little horseradish and hot sauce its very similar to Peter Lugers Steak Sauce.
