New addition

I asked my 11 yr old daughter the other day would she like a mini version of dad's grill (22 OTS)so she could q w/me and even cook her own food beside me and she got all fired up about it!

So I went to Home Depot today and got her a new Smokey Joe Silver!

It's lined up beside my 22 OTS which is next to my 18.5 WSM (2 10lb Butts that are 10 hrs in)ready for some chicken breast, foiled taters and fresh asparagus wrapped in bacon!

Them little girls will melt a Dad's heart!!!


I think my neighbors like tha smell, especially this evening! HA
Hope I can keep it fun for her, be cool if one day she can out q any boyfriends!

she will get hooked if she gets to prep, then cook and eat the results. good move on yer part.

Prep she did, from cleaning the new sj to gettin all the food ready, lighting the chimney, spread the coals to putting it on the grate all with complete explanation of why and where!

Ain't life grand!!!

i do the same with my 14 yr old sister, 6 and 9 yr old nephews. have them prepare chimney, clean grate etc.

all i do is cook the food hehehe

i do need to bribe them with good steak like porterhouse or carne asada though
