Wednesday Tri Tip

I actually remembered to take a tri tip out of the freezer last night, so when I got home from work today, it was ready to go. Seasoned up with some salt and Dizzy Pig Red Eye Express, then onto the grill:

The only place I could find them, Super Target, must have quit getting them. Really, really, disappointing, guess I'll just have to drool over everyone elses beautiful Tri's.
 
Great looking meal and nice color. Seems like ever time I feel like making a tri tip its too late to take one out of the freezer to thaw so I end up just going to the store and picking up a fresh one.
 
Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm having fun re-learning my technique for kettle cooking. Next I want to start experimenting with more multi-item cooking for veggies and sides.

BTW, the pics were taken with a Nikon D40x DSLR. Overkill for just food pics, but the usual subjects in the viewfinder are my kids.
