While picking-up some other stuff, I ran across a display of the flexible / refillable Bernz-O-Matic lighters on sale at HD.

Check-out the link:

Works really nice - windproof flame, refillable, plus not a cheap piece of junk. Even comes with a Butane refill.

Got mine for about 6 bucks
(Merry Christmas to me...)

I got one of these last summer.

I like it!!

I've used one of these and they're great for lighting the fireplace, butt, if you're wanting to light your charcoal in sub-freezing, windy conditions, forget it.

.

its now in the box with all my other broken bbq lighters, therms etc.

I was really into the fact that it wasn't disposable and could be refilled, never had to fill it though, it didnt last that long.

at the same time I bought mine i got my brother in law one, I havent seen him use it, my guess is that his is done too.

in sub-freezing, windy conditions, forget it.

where might that be?

I've had a couple of em for the last 3-4 yrs.
When the outside temps are moderate they do work fine, but like any butane-spark lighter if you keep them outside in the cold,,, yea they don't worky to well.
Try bringing it up to room temp, and see if that works. I keep one in the garage and one in the house, and when it's cold out, the one from the house is the only one that works..
Well at least for me.
