Hey all, I bought a new SJG today to replace my old weather worn SJS after 15 years of duty old reliable was beginning to rust through in more than 1 spot and the grates were beyond cleaning now.

As soon as I brought the SJG home I popped open the box and pulled the bowl out. I had the bottom vent from the old SJS cleaned and ready laying on the work bench. I broke out the trusty step drill along with a couple of pilot bits and positioned the vent in place to mark the holes.

I placed the vent along with the ash pan on the SJG in the same manner they were on the SJS. Then I put it all together and lit a half chimney of charcoal.

Wound up cooking 4 skinless yard bird breast. The SJG burned as well as my old SJS plus I had the options that go along with the SJG. Nice little grill,I hope the SJG can live up to the standards the old SJS has set, 15 years and a ton of good food.
