How to light the Q grill

Wow, just found out something new.

How to light the Grill

Weber Q 100 and 200 series with an adapter hose and the Q 300 series.
Close the LP tank valve
Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position
1-Open the grill lid
2-Turn the tank valve until it is completely open
3-Wait at least 1 minute
4-Turn the burner control knob to Hi/Start
5-Press the igniter to light the burner
6-Turn any remaining burner control knobs to High
7-The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutes.

Wow I never knew, that I had to wait one minute.

The cart base grill only have to wait a few seconds.

Waiting a minute has nothing to do with the grill. This is the recommended procedure for use with gas regulators so they don't trip the internal regulator shutoff valve. You should also open the valve slowly.
Most of us just turn on the bottle with the BBQ controls off and open the BBQ burner and light and this method works 90% of the time. When you do have a problem the recommended method will reset the valve and give you full throttle. This method will work for all standard regulators on all LPG gas BBQs.
