22 burn time?

i dont use lump or sand. cook times are pretty much the same from 18 to 22 without any heat sink. you have to know how your wsm cooks to not use a sink. if your going to use a heat sink sand water saucer bricks. burn times will be about the same unless your using more heat sink in one or the other.

for example the water pan of the 22 has a 2 gallon pan and the 18 a 1 gallon. 2 gallons worth of whatever will use more fuel than 1 gallon of whatever. i find on mine the fuel use is actually quite close with the 22 using slightly more with the heatsinks being the same amounts.

I have to say that I was a little disappointed in 22.5 burn times when I first got mine. Now that it is well seasoned and it's not 10 degrees outside I am very happpy.

Had a 14 hour cook yesterday @ 250 degrees (70 degrees outside) with brisket and ribs over water. Started with 18 pounds of K and could have gone another hour or so.
