which one

not sure if this is the appropriat place to post this butt.............. Ive been smoking for couple of years off and on. Decent luck with ribs butts chicken. Havnt tried brisket yet. It is overwhelming on all the help on this forum and different rubs and ways of doing things. What i would like is a good reference book. Ive been to the book store and their is umpteen million of these as well. If you pitmasters could have one book, which one would you reccomend? I was looking at the peace love one, paul kirks, amongst many others. Which book would you think is the best for the guy that wants to turn out some good Q to impress his friends and family with? thanks

The Peace, Love.. book is great but I don't recall any brisket recipes in it. I also have the paul kirk's but haven't tried any of the recipes from it.

The <span class="ev_code_PURPLE">Midnight Brisket</span> here on the site is as good as it gets. Every recipe is good. Pick one, then you'll know what changes you'd make on it. I use <span class="ev_code_PURPLE">Midnight </span>on whole briskets, but don't use water in the pan. For all aroud grilling and Q'ing, I recommend Andrew Lang's Serious Barbecue. Good luck.
