Smoked Malt

Has anyone here tried to smoke their own malt for brewing on a WSM? A pecan smoked robust porter sounds like an interesting brew to make.

Go easy on the % of smoked malt in the grist on your first go around. My Smoked Porter used 4 pounds of smoked 2-row in a malt bill that is 12.75 pounds. It has been dubbed "Bacon Beer" (used hickory.) :)
