In the doghouse. Help???

I wonder if anyone can help. I put a crock (Henn crockery that is oven safe) into a tin pan and had in on the bottom rack with baked beans catching rib drippings for five hours. Beans were fantastic. Unfortunately, the crock now has a nice smoke stain all over it. I had not foreseen that. D'oh!

Soaking overnight in dish soap hasn't done much. Anyone have any similar experiences and any success in getting it out? Anyone got some kind of crazy poultice or something like that?

My lady loved the beans, so at least I have that going for me. I'd love to salvage the crock, but, if I can't, then it is the go-to smoker crock.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Bar Keepers Friend will take care of the problem for you...use it all the time when my white dishes discoloration from the dishwasher.
