Question about Expanded Metal

Tried searching but couldn't really come up with any solid answers.

I swapped my old 18.5 kettle with a friend for his old Smokey Joe, in hopes of building a mini WSM. I'm currently researching charcoal holders, via expanded metal but I now have a question. With what I've been reading here, galvanized steel is bad.

But I can't tell if this is galvanized or not. Just says "steel."

Do you guys think this is safe to use? Where do you guys find your expanded metal?

That is not galvanized. If it was, it should say so...hence why they said it was a plain finish.

says plain metal so I take that to be non galvanized. galvanized stuff will look much different. you should be ok to use the referred to metal.
