Went for lunch today. Very busy, good crowd around noon. All the usual suspects...brisket, pulled pork, spareribs, chicken leg quarter, and Louisiana Hot Links...in plate and sammie formats. Brisket is supposed to be the specialty, sold lean or fatty. Fatty was pretty good, lean was dry and tough, at least today. Pork was OK. Spareribs were OK, not great.
Several sides are offered...I had the House Mac & Cheese. Little bits of meat scraps mixed into the cheesy goodness...one of the better Mac & Cheese I've ever had.
Three sauces served at the table. Friendly service. Parking was difficult. A bit pricy...a two meat combo and a three meat combo with one soda and an ice water set me back $34 before tip. I would probably go back. Seems like a sincere attempt to make good barbecue.
