Illinois > Chicago: Weber Grill Restaurant

Am I really the first person on the board to eat here?!

Wife and I were staying at a hotel barely a block away from the joint. Decor is real creative in the use of the Weber kettle-- grill grates on the exterior windows, kettle domes as light covers inside, etc.

As soon as we walked in we were looking into the kitchen-- oh the beautiful modified kettles all lined up! Next to them were at least a dozen 20lb bags of KBB, and maybe half a dozen starter chimneys. Pretty sure I was grinning like an idiot as I surveyed the landscape.

Had lunch here on Tuesday, before heading back home to Michigan. I had a BBQ combo plate of ribs and brisket. The brisket was moist, tender, and very flavorful. Had a good bark and nice smoke ring. Ribs were also very tender, but not mush. Could really taste the hickory smoke. My wife had one of their grill fired pizzas and really liked it.

I go to the one in Schaumburg every once and a while. I took a grilling class there many years ago after it opened, and learned alot. They do a good job.
