Believe me when I say it is my pleasure!! My best recommendations are one, trying grilling fatty hamburgers or sausage periodically to help keep the grate well seasoned. Two, if you are burning off the grate after each grilling session please stop doing that. The best time to clean the grate is right after the preheat with a Weber stainless steel grill brush. The reason I say Weber is not because I work for them but because we test all of our brushes and they do not cause any damage to our grates. These are two tried and true tips will help the grate last longer. I have had my 6 Q's here for 5 years and have yet had to replace one cooking grate.
